Foreign Language Electives
Desert Shadows Middle School is proud to offer three levels of World Language.
An introductory level course is offered to 7th graders, and Spanish 1-2 and Spanish 3-4 are offered to 8th graders. Taking and earning a B or better in Introduction to Spanish as a 7th grader is a prerequisite to taking either Spanish 1-2 as an 8th grader.
Furthermore, both 7th- and 8th-grade students who complete Spanish 1-2 with a C or better and score well on the district placement test are prepared to take Spanish 3-4 the following school year.
