World Language Information

Desert Shadows Middle School is proud to offer two levels of World Language on our campus: an introductory level course offered to 7th graders; and Spanish 1-2 or French 1-2 offered to 8th graders.  Taking and earning a B or better in Introduction to Spanish or Introduction to French as a 7th grader is a prerequisite to taking either Spanish 1-2 or French 1-2 as an 8th grader.  Furthermore, both 7th and 8th grade students who complete Spanish 1-2 or French 1-2 with a C or better and score well on the district placement test, will be prepared to take Spanish 3-4 or French 3-4 the following school year.
